The City of Norfolk is dedicated to ensuring safe and accessible streets for all users, recognizing that reaching your destination safely is a fundamental right. To achieve this goal, the City is committed to developing a comprehensive safety action plan, funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Safe Streets and Roads for All program.

The Norfolk Safety Action Plan aims to provide accessible and equitable multimodal transportation options throughout the City, promoting a safer, more inclusive, and connected and transportation network for all. 

This initiative will reduce roadway fatalities and serious injuries by working with the community to:

• Develop effective strategies
• Implement solutions
