Norfolk Prevention Coalition (NPC)'s mission is to work together with the community to reduce the use of drugs, alcohol and tobacco through the development of a comprehensive, City-wide prevention strategy and continuum of evidence-based services to strengthen and improve outcomes for Norfolk families.
Purpose
While promoting drug-free communities, Norfolk Prevention Coalition seeks to engage all community sectors to work together to reduce use of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
NPC collaborates with local and regional agencies to provide prevention education on substance use and abuse to parents and other community members.
REVIVE! is a collaboration of the Virginia Departments of Health, Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and Health Professions, with recovery-based community organizations such as the McShin Foundation, OneCare of Southwest Virginia, the Substance Abuse and Addiction Recovery Alliance of Virginia and other stakeholders.
