Music Classes

Norfolk Parks & Recreation offers a variety of music classes for all age groups. If you are new to music or want to continue developing your skills, there’s a class for you. As a Norfolk Recreation member, you save up to $15 per class. Join today at any recreation or aquatics facility.  Non-member rates are available. 

Some of our most popular classes include but are not limited to:

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS

Ages 7 & Up  ●  Offered: piano, brass, voice, percussion, and guitar. Private brass and guitar students should provide their own instruments. Lesson materials cost approximately $25-$30. Make-up lessons will not be available if student misses lesson.

PIANO:  BEGINNER

Ages 7 & Up  ●  Students must be beginners.  Lesson materials cost approximately $25.  A list of required materials is provided by the instructor at the first class.  Make-up lessons will not be available if a student misses a lesson.

PIANO: PRELUDE/MOVT. I

Ages 7 & Up  ●  Prerequisite:   Students must have completed one session of Youth Beginner Piano and be using the Piano Pronto Prelude Book or the Piano Pronto Mvt. I Book by Eklund. Materials cost approximately $25.  Make-up lessons will not be available.

PIANO:  MOVT. I & II

Ages 7 & Up  ●  Prerequisite:  Completion of Piano Pronto Prelude Book.  Students must be using Piano Pronto Movt. I or II  Book by Eklund. Materials cost approximately $2sons will not be available.
