The Norfolk Public Library Foundation

A Gift That Lasts Forever...

Each day in Norfolk, our library staff reaches out to children and adults to help them grow and learn. We foster a love of reading and provide the vital information services people need. If you give to the Norfolk Public Library Foundation, you can be sure your gift will be used effectively to improve the quality of life in your community. The following information briefly describes several ways to give. We are always happy to discuss options with you so that your gift can truly reflect the spirit in which it is given.

Great libraries are the reflection of a great community. Build a foundation for library greatness by making a gift today. There are many ways to give to the community and the Norfolk Public Library. You can donate to one our endowments listed below or to the Active Fund that is used to meet the library's immediate needs. For endowment donations, the gift principal is never spent, only the annual earnings are used.

Our endowments have changed!

To better meet the needs of Norfolk Public Library, we have consolidated our endowments into two: General Library and Local History & Genealogy. If you donated in the past to an endowment other than Local History & Genealogy, those funds have been transferred to the General Library endowment.

Other Ways to Give

  1. Planned Giving

Established in 1995 and supervised by its own Board, the Norfolk Public Library Foundation is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. We welcome all gifts, no matter the size, and ensure they are used in accordance with the donor's wishes.
