The Grow Norfolk program supports the cultivation of urban farms and gardens in order to increase access to nutritious food options, and to improve the health of our citizens, the strength of our communities, and the sustainability of our natural environment.

Urban Farms and Gardens are a Fun Way to Build a Sustainable and Greener Norfolk! Did you know they:

  • Help create and strengthen communities by providing a place for neighbors and friends to gather and collaborate
  • Add beauty to a community while providing food, cultivating skills and providing educational opportunities
  • Can retain and filter rainwater reducing stormwater runoff as well as contributes to cleaning our local waterways!

For organizations that can manage the operations of an entire lot and provide their own liability insurance
