Military Highway Pedestrian Improvements

Project Location

Military Highway between Johnston’s Road and Longdale Drive and includes pedestrian improvements at the associated intersections.

Project Information

This project will provide safer pedestrian travel and access to public transportation along the project corridor.

Scope of Work

• New sidewalk along the west side of N. Military Hwy from Johnston's Rd connecting to the existing sidewalk.
• Install new crosswalks with countdown pedestrian signals and ADA Ramps

Construction Impacts

• Significant tree removal is required.
• Temporary lane closures will be required. 
• Pedestrian detours will provide safe passage for pedestrians through the intersection.

Crescent Way to Wawa Entrance North

• Update Curb ramps at Crescent Way
• Provide ADA Bus Pad

International Blvd to Norview Ave

• Sidewalk on west side of Military Hwy
• Tie into existing bus shelter 
• Pedestrian Heads, Push Buttons, Crosswalks at International Blvd
