John E. “JP” Paige was elected to serve on Norfolk City Council on November 8th, 2022, to represent Ward 4 (PDF). 

Councilman Paige is a graduate of Norfolk State University. He went on to attend Troy State University where he earned his M.S in Management. Councilman Paige is a small business owner, operating a successful bail bonding company here in Norfolk, VA. 

Mr. Paige served as an Adjunct Professor at Norfolk State University with the Going Places program in Portsmouth, VA; and because of his hard work and dedication to education, he would later return to Norfolk State University as Director of Student Services for the School of Business.  Mr. Paige is an honorable United States Air Force veteran, a proud Lifetime Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and is an active member of the Norfolk Alumni Chapter. He is the recipient of many national awards for his leadership in the Kappa Alpha Psi Inc’s youth initiative Guide Right. 

Mr. Paige and his family are committed members of the Historic Basilica of St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception. He and his wife Djuna reside in the Middletown Arch community.
