General Reservoir Information
The Norfolk reservoirs are available for fishing and boating from sunrise to sunset or as posted. Please be aware that this also applies to residents that live next to the reservoirs. The gates at the City’s boat ramps are open from sunrise to sunset unless otherwise posted. View our boat ramp locations.
Fishing & Reservoir Resources

To place a boat on the reservoirs, including canoes and kayaks, you will need a City of Norfolk Boat Permit.

- Boaters must observe all Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries regulations.
- Fish found in the reservoirs according to the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.
