Woman Co-Defendant Also Convicted of 2022 Norfolk 7-Eleven Robbery
NORFOLK, Va. – On Tuesday, 29-year-old Laquisha Shante Nock was convicted in Norfolk Circuit Court of robbery after she and 38-year-old Quentin Lamont James held up a West Ocean View 7-Eleven clerk last year.
On June 2, 2022, Mr. James and Ms. Nock were armed with a gun and with garden shears, respectively, and entered the 7-Eleven located at 124 Maple Street. The pair approached a store clerk with their weapons in-hand, escorted her to the cash register, took $75 from the register after forcing her to open it, and then fled on foot.
On Oct. 17, Mr. James pleaded guilty to armed robbery, and Judge Everett A. Martin Jr. accepted his plea with no agreement to Mr. James’ sentence. He is docketed for sentencing on Dec. 22.
On Tuesday, Ms. Nock pleaded guilty to robbery, and Judge Robert B. Rigney accepted her plea with no agreement to Ms. Nock’s sentence. She is docketed for sentencing on Jan. 12.
Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Emily A. Woodley is prosecuting both Ms. Nock’s and Mr. James’ cases on behalf of the Commonwealth, and Norfolk Police Detective Cody W. Morgan led the investigation.
