[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Seeking Feedback on Fair Housing Impediment Report

In-person and virtual presentations and comment session on August 4

NORFOLK, VA – The City of Norfolk’s Department of Housing and Community Development is seeking public input and feedback for the draft version of the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing (AI). The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires localities that receive federal funds to conduct an AI to identify and reduce fair housing barriers.

Preliminary insights and recommendations will be presented at a public comment session on Thursday, August 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Norview Community Center (6380 Sewells Point Road, Norfolk, VA 23513). Attendees are asked to share comments and feedback during this session. Interested parties may also participate virtually by clicking here

A 30-day comment period is now open. The draft AI is available for review online and hard copies are available at Slover Library, Jordan-Newby Anchor Branch Library and Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch Library. The public may also provide comment and input through August 23 by emailinghudentitlement@norfolk.gov or calling (757) 664-2467. A summary of, and response to, all comments will be included in the final draft submission to HUD.
