NORFOLK, VA – The City of Norfolk’s Department of Housing and Community Development is seeking public input and feedback for the draft version of the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing (AI). The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires localities that receive federal funds to conduct an AI to identify and reduce fair housing barriers.
Preliminary insights and recommendations will be presented at a public comment session on Thursday, August 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Norview Community Center (6380 Sewells Point Road, Norfolk, VA 23513). Attendees are asked to share comments and feedback during this session. Interested parties may also participate virtually by clicking here.
A 30-day comment period is now open. The draft AI is available for review online and hard copies are available at Slover Library, Jordan-Newby Anchor Branch Library and Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch Library. The public may also provide comment and input through August 23 by email@example.com or calling (757) 664-2467. A summary of, and response to, all comments will be included in the final draft submission to HUD.
If disabled, hearing-impaired and non-English speakers require assistance accessing the draft AI or providing feedback, contact the Norfolk Department of Housing and Community Development firstname.lastname@example.org or call (757) 664-2467 to request accommodations as soon as possible.
