[ARCHIVED] A ‘Dream Court’ Comes to Berkley Park

Basketball court ribbon cutting with the City of Norfolk, Nancy Lieberman Charities & the Southside Boys and Girls Club

NORFOLK, VA – The City of Norfolk, in partnership with Nancy Lieberman Charities and the Southside Boys and Girls Club, announces the ribbon cutting for a Dream Court™ in Berkley Park on Monday, June 27, at 10:30 a.m. An existing city basketball court is now transformed into a Dream Court™, through the generous donations of Wallace and Linda Hailsip, Old Dominion University alumni.

The City of Norfolk and the Southside Boys & Girls Club were selected by Nancy Lieberman Charities as the Dream Court™ recipients due to the prime location for many area kids and programming. This new state-of-the-art basketball court will give kids a safe place to play, as well as learn lessons about teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Members of the media are invited to the unveiling.
