[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Celebrates 3rd Annual Night of Philosophy and Ideas

NORFOLK, VA—Join us for Norfolk’s 3rd annual “Night of Philosophy and Ideas 2022” (La Nuit des Idées) on Saturday, May 14, 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Slover Library, 235 E. Plume Street. The “Night of Philosophy and Ideas 2022” is a worldwide event celebrated in cultural venues in cities across five continents.

The 2022 theme is "Where are we going/What's next?" Educators, environmentalists, philosophers, and many others from Hampton Roads are coming together for discussions, where guests will ponder these questions and explore a stream of environmental, workforce development, and urban community planning ideas.

The Slover Library Foundation, in partnership with the Old Dominion University Department of World Languages and Cultures, and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the U.S., is hosting this evening learn-a-thon.

Additional event highlights include a film screening, poetry reading, dance performance, and enlightening conversations. Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available throughout the evening. This a free event. Register today!
