Norfolk Reopening Additional Neighborhood Libraries and Expanding Service at Two Anchor Branches on May 17, 2021


NORFOLK, VA – Beginning May 17, Norfolk Public Library (NPL) is reopening four additional neighborhood branches for Grab-n-Go services. Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch Library and Jordan-Newby Anchor Branch Library will allow limited visitation.

Eight neighborhood branches will operate two days a week for Grab-n-Go from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and NPL’s two anchor branches will open Tuesday through Saturday and allow patrons to browse the stacks or reserve a public computer. Visitation at the anchor branches is limited to one hour total. All Norfolk Public Libraries require wearing a mask and proper physical distancing.
