[ARCHIVED] City of Norfolk Offices to Close in Observance of Memorial Day

NORFOLK, VA – The City of Norfolk’s offices will close on Monday, May 25, 2020 in observance of Memorial Day. City facilities have been closed since the middle of March due to COVID-19, but staff have continued to work in the buildings and/or remotely. 

Requests for bulk collection on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 must be made before 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2020. Submit your bulk item pick up request in the MyNorfolk app, fill out a bulk item pick up request online through the MyNorfolk portal at www.norfolk.gov or contact the Norfolk Cares Center at (757) 664-6510. The MyNorfolk app provides real-time updates and is available in the App Store and Google Play.

The Norfolk Transfer Station will be open for residents Saturday, May 23 (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.), Sunday, May 24 (noon – 4 p.m.) and Monday, May 25 (8 a.m. – noon).
