Annual Veterans Day Ceremony Recognizes Service and Sacrifice
Ceremony includes wreath-laying at memorial rotunda
NORFOLK, VA – If you want to say thanks to a veteran, take an hour and spend it with a veteran or two. On November 11, honor the service and sacrifice of our military veterans from World War II to the War on Terrorism. Join us at 2:00 p.m. at the MacArthur Visitors Center then take a short walk to the memorial rotunda for a brief wreath-laying ceremony. Keynote speaker is Virginia Congressman Bobby Scott (D-VA). The ceremony is free and open to the public. The annual Veterans Day Ceremony is proudly sponsored by the City of Norfolk, the MacArthur Memorial and the Mayor’s Commission on Veterans’ Affairs.
