Norfolk’s Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program to host an Open House

NORFOLK, VA – The Norfolk Department of Public Health’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program will host a Fall Open House on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at the Park Place WIC Clinic, 606 West 29th Street, Norfolk, VA 23508. Walk-in WIC services will be available for new families to enroll in the program. Health and wellness vendors, vison and blood pressure screenings, samples and raffles will be offered. Fall crafts, face painting and active play activities will be available for children. A guided tour of the facilities will conclude the event. This event is free and open to the public.

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program is a supplemental food program for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to age five (5) who are at nutritional risk. The WIC program provides nutritious foods to help supplement diets for eligible persons, healthy eating, breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to health care.
