Ribbon-Cutting Event Celebrates Opening of New Tridentis Facility
Norfolk, VA — March 21, 2019 — Tridentis, LLC was joined by Norfolk Mayor Kenny Alexander to commemorate the completion of their new office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 430 Boush St. The mayor along with the company’s president David Jochum cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the facility and welcome the firm to the area. Work began in 2018 to renovate the historic building into an office space. The facility brings over 60 high-tech jobs to downtown Norfolk, with employees specializing in electrical engineering, structural engineering, and mechanical engineering.
In his opening remarks, David Jochum thanked the various groups and businesses who assisted with the renovation and discussed the international areas of concern that US naval forces are currently facing. About the company, he stated “Our job is to work tirelessly to give our troops, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen the advantage they need to protect our American values, our way of life, and our families. He then introduced Mayor Kenny Alexander, who stated during his ceremonial speech “As a growing small business that provides services to federal agencies, allied foreign militaries and commercial customers, Tridentis fits perfectly into Norfolk’s diverse and growing economy.”
Originally built in 1912, the office building was formerly the home of Montauk Ice Cream, downtown Norfolk’s first dairy facility. The property has since housed multiple different companies, including Eagleton’s and, more recently, School of Rock.
