[ARCHIVED] Norfolk’s Office of Resilience Hosts Third Coastal Resilience Community Corner

NORFOLK, Va. – The City of Norfolk’s Office of Resilience will host its next “Community Corner: A Conversation on Coastal Resilience” on Thursday, March 27, from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Chrysler Museum of Art, 1 Memorial Place. This is the third in a series of events for the public to learn more about how the City is leading efforts to reduce the risk of flooding through the $2.6 billion Resilient Norfolk Coastal Storm Risk Management (CSRM) Project.

Residents are invited to engage with City staff from various departments and learn more about Norfolk’s Flood Strategy and the City’s goal of becoming a coastal community of the future. Residents will be able to ask questions about the CSRM Project and specifically, Phase 1, which includes a variety of features that will reduce flooding risk from West Ghent to Harbor Park.

Registration is requested.

“Community Corner: A Conversation on Coastal Resilience” series will take place throughout 2025 in locations around Norfolk. For more information on the CSRM Project, visit resilientnorfolk.com.

The media is invited to attend. For more information, contact Megan Shearin, public information officer for the Norfolk Resilience Partners, at mshearin@communicateonpoint.com.
