NORFOLK, VA ─ Every fall, the Friends of the Norfolk Public Library offers booklovers thousands of books to browse at its Recycled Reads Used Book Sale and the opportunity to celebrate libraries at Books & Brew, Vino Too!.
Both events will be held at the Slover Library, 235 E. Plume Street in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. Recycled Reads is free and open to the public during Slover Library’s operating hours Friday, November 8th through Sunday, November 10th.
Books & Brew, Vino Too! kicks off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8th. Tickets are $40 in advance or $45 at the door, and include food, beverages, live music by Guava Jam, and free valet parking. The Recycled Reads Used Book Sale will also be open for guests to shop during the party. Purchase tickets online at http://bit.ly/Books_Brew2019. Books & Brew, Vino Too! is sponsored by Croatan Investments, Slover Library Foundation, Guava Jam, and the Norfolk Public Library.
All proceeds from both events benefit Norfolk Public Libraries through FNPL-sponsored programs such as Summer Reading, Tales to Tails, the annual Book Review Contest, and Little Free Libraries. Friends of the Norfolk Public Library supports NPL’s mission to inspire a community of life-long learners and to Create a City of Readers.
