Make a Difference in Your Community
Do you have great skills that you would like to offer to those who need assistance- You can make a difference by becoming a volunteer. Parks & Recreation has a number of exciting and rewarding opportunities where you can shine. Please see the volunteer manual (PDF) for complete details.
Volunteers must be at least 15 years old, and willing to abide by all policies and rules set forth by the Department Parks & Recreation.
Application Process
To apply, download and complete the Individual Volunteer Application (PDF) or Group Volunteer Application (PDF).
All volunteers may be subject to a criminal background check. A processing fee may apply.
A criminal background check is mandatory for all regular service volunteers, including interns, eighteen and older that:
- Work in a position with the potential to be left alone with children, the elderly, or the disabled.
- Work in a position with access to highly sensitive or confidential information.
Once the background check is approved, volunteers will be placed and contacted with their assignments.
