[ARCHIVED] Motorcyclist remains in critical condition following crash on Campostella Road

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate a motorcycle crash that has left a woman in critical condition.

The single-vehicle crash occurred on Saturday, October 25th, just prior to 7 p.m., in the 400 block of Campostella Rd.

Police say the motorcycle's driver was a 63-year-old woman who was driving southbound near the Campostella Bridge area.

After crossing the intersection of Campostella Rd. and Filmore St., the woman hit a median and lost control.

Norfolk Fire-Rescue transported the woman to Norfolk General Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Police say speed does not appear to have been a factor in the crash, and it is unknown if alcohol was a factor at this time.

This remains an active investigation.

The Norfolk Police Traffic Unit is handling this investigation.
