NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - A Norfolk man has been arrested for a shooting that left a man dead in Ocean View.
On April 16, 2023, around 2:10 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1900 block of E. Ocean View Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they found Terri R. Denmark, 32, suffering from gunshot wounds. Denmark was pronounced deceased on-scene.
As a result of the investigation, Dayqwan Stevenson, 29, was charged with 2nd degree murder and use of a firearm. On May 18th, Stevenson was arrested in the City of Norfolk without incident by the Norfolk Police Fugitive Squad and Norfolk Police Special Operations Team.
Stevenson is currently being held at the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
