[ARCHIVED] Woman dies following shooting on Kerrey Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A Norfolk woman has died following a shooting on Kerrey Avenue.

On September 6, around 12:05 a.m. police responded to the 1500 block of Kerrey Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim. When the officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. 

The woman, identified as Precious U. Jones, 41, was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she later died from her injuries. 

Detectives have not released a motive, or any additional circumstances surrounding this incident.
