[ARCHIVED] Woman dies following hit-and-run crash on Brambleton Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run crash that has left a 25-year-old woman dead.

On August 21, 2022, around 12:15 a.m., police responded to the 800 block of W. Brambleton Avenue for the report of a person in the roadway. The preliminary investigation revealed that the woman was hit by a car that fled the scene before police arrived.

The woman, identified as Alexis S. Hicks, 25, of Chesapeake, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. She later died as a result of her injuries.
