[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police identify third victim following shooting on Jerome Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A woman has died following a triple shooting on Jerome Avenue in January that also left two men dead.

Just before 11:00 p.m. on January 9, 2022, Norfolk police responded to a home in the 800 block of Jerome Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they found a man, Keith D. Winstead, 28, of Norfolk, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Winstead was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second man, Trevon C. Moore, 27, of Norfolk, and a woman were both transported to the hospital, where Moore later died as a result of his injuries.

The woman, identified as Shakeithya S. Cooper, 30, of Norfolk, was treated for a gunshot wound to the ankle; however, later died in March. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ruled her death a homicide.
