NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - A Norfolk man has been arrested for a fatal shooting in the Huntersville community.
On May 29th, around 11:55 p.m., police were dispatched to the 700 block of B Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they found Paul L. Robinson, of Norfolk, suffering from a gunshot wound. Robinson was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
As a result of the investigation, Lamont S. Smallwood, 32, was charged with 2nd degree murder and use of a firearm. On June 3rd, Smallwood was arrested in the City of Norfolk without incident due to the collaborative efforts of the Norfolk Police Fugitive Squad, Norfolk Police Special Operations Team, and the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.
