[ARCHIVED] Police identify man fatally shot on Fremont Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police have identified the man found fatally shot Monday morning as 30-year-old Lavonta E. Jarvis of Chesapeake.

Around 10:40 a.m., dispatchers received a call for a gunshot victim in the 800 block of Fremont Street. When police arrived, they found Jarvis suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have not released any suspect information or the circumstances surrounding this deadly incident.
