[ARCHIVED] Friendly Reminder ?? Norfolk Peace Officers' Memorial Ceremony

The Norfolk Police Department will be hosting it's annual Peace Officers' Memorial Ceremony on Thursday, May 19th at 9:30 a.m. After two year's of honoring our 39 fallen officers with a virtual ceremony, we are looking forward to hosting this years ceremony in-person at Norfolk City Hall once again.

This event is open to the public, please join us as we remember the service and sacrifice of our officers during Norfolk Peace Officers' Memorial Week. Complimentary parking will be available at the Union Street Parking Lot.

Since 1962, the week of May 15th has been designated National Police Week by the Congress of the United States. Each year, NPD holds a service to honor the memory of our police officers who have given their lives in the line of duty. During this service, we also pay tribute to surviving family members of our fallen officers.
