NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police are investigating a homicide after a 40-year-old man died at the hospital following a shooting that occurred on Friday evening.
Around 11:30 p.m., dispatchers received a call for a gunshot victim in the 7900 block of Old Ocean View Road. When first responders arrived, they found Calvin R. Byas suffering from a gunshot wound.
Byas was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he died from his injuries.
