[ARCHIVED] Teenager critically injured following shooting on Atwood Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate an overnight shooting that has left a one teenage boy dead with serious injuries.

Around 9:20 p.m., on May 25, 2021, dispatchers received a call for a gunshot disturbance in the 9200 block of Atwood Avenue. When officers arrived on-scene they located a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.

The teenager was transported to the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries where he remains in critical condition.
