[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police searching for wanted homicide suspect

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) –Detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate a woman who is wanted on charges related to a deadly shooting on Poplar Avenue.

On May 2, 2021 around 8:00 p.m., police responded to the report of a gunshot victim in the 200 block of Poplar Avenue. When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Daymeion N. Carmon-Faison, of Norfolk, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Carmon-Faison was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. 

As a result of the investigation, Shavyonne M. Vick, 28, of Norfolk, has been charged with one count of second-degree murder, two counts of attempted malicious wounding, and three counts of use of a firearm.   

Police ask anyone with information about Vick’s whereabouts to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3 mobile app.

Detectives have not released the motive or circumstance surrounding this incident.
