NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - A Norfolk man has been arrested for a shooting that left a man dead Wednesday morning.
On March 17, 2021 around 12:55 a.m. police were dispatched to a home in the 600 block of Wiley Drive for the report of a gunshot victim. When Officers arrived, they found 31-year-old, Eddie M. Jenkins, of Norfolk, suffering from a gunshot wound inside of the home. Jenkins was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As a result of the investigation, Curtis E. Copeland, 19, was arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder and use of a firearm.
Detectives have not released the motive or circumstances surrounding this homicide.
Copeland is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
