[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police arrest homicide suspect in connection to shooting on E. Princess Anne Road

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives have charged a man following a shooting on E. Princess Anne Road that left a 20-year-old woman dead.

On January 11, 2021 around 2:40 a.m. police responded to the 2800 block of E. Princess Anne Road for the report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they located, Shakiya N. Johnson, of Virginia Beach, suffering from a gunshot wound in an SUV that had crashed into a pole.

Johnson was pronounced on the scene.

Detectives say 21-year-old Rayvone D. Foster has been arrested and charged with murder, use of a firearm, conspiracy, and gang participation.  

As detectives continue to investigate this homicide, they ask for anyone with information to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
