NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk detectives are investigating a shooting that has left one woman dead, and another woman and a man injured.
Police were dispatched around 10:35 Monday night to the 1000 block of Dubose Drive for multiple gunshot victims. When officers arrived on scene, they located one woman suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. A second woman and a man were both found with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Medics transported all three of the victims to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where 38-year-old Deatrice D. Lawrence of Norfolk later died from her injuries.
Detectives have not released any suspect information or a motive surrounding this shooting.
