[ARCHIVED] Police identify victim from Saturday afternoon shooting

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) Norfolk police are investigating a shooting that left a 17-year-old dead.

Around 3:45 p.m., police were dispatched to the 300 block of Whitehead Avenue for a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they located a 17-year-old suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Detectives have not released a motive or suspect information surrounding this incident.
