NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives have identified the man fatally shot in the 800 block of E. Princess Anne Road as Alonzo Roane, 19, of Virginia Beach.
On Saturday, April 11, around 8:15 p.m., dispatchers received a call for a gunshot victim in the 800 block of E. Princess Anne Road. When officers arrived, they found three men suffering from gunshot wounds. Roane was pronounced deceased on-scene. One man, later identified as the suspect, was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, the other man was treated on-scene for minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Solomon J. Miller of Norfolk has been charged with second degree murder, malicious wounding, and two counts of use of a firearm. Miller is currently being treated for his injuries at the hospital.
