[ARCHIVED] Police identify man fatally shot on Jenifer Street

NORFOLK, Va. – (NPD) Police are investigating a shooting that has left one-person dead Monday evening.

Around 7:30 p.m. on March 16, 2020, police responded to a report of gunshot victim in the 1300 block of Jenifer Street. When officers arrived, they found a man inside of a residence suffering from gunshot wounds. The man, 22-year-old Carl A. Bell, was pronounced deceased on-scene.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that Bell was shot by a resident after gaining entry into a home. Police are not looking for any suspects.
