NORFOLK, Va. – Around 11:15 a.m. detectives were called to Granby High School in response to an 11th grade student who was found to be in possession of a handgun and illegal narcotics.
As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old male has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, felony possession of a firearm on school property, felony possession of a firearm by a person under 18, felony possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and felony possession with intent to distribute marijuana on school grounds.
The juvenile is being held at the Norfolk Detention Center.
Police have not released any other details surrounding this investigation.
