NORFOLK, Va. – On February 19, 2020, around 3:00 p.m. Norfolk detectives were called to Granby High School in response to a report of a 17-year-old student being assaulted by a teacher.
As a result of the investigation, Norfolk Police arrested 29-year-old Keith Buxton for misdemeanor assault. The student was not injured during the incident.
Buxton was released on a criminal summons.
Norfolk Public Schools have placed Buxton on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. Buxton has worked for Norfolk Public Schools since August of 2019.
