[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police are investigating after a suspicious man was observed near Chesterfield Academy

Norfolk Police are investigating a suspicious situation after witnesses observed a man who appeared to be following behind a student near the intersection of Ballentine Blvd and Victoria Avenue on February 11th, around 3:45 p.m.

While there was no interaction between the man and the student, police are investigating and patrolling the area as a precautionary measure.

The man is described as a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Norfolk Police take every report of suspicious activity seriously and will investigate accordingly.

Police remind residents of all ages to stay aware of your surroundings, travel with others when possible, let friends and family know where you’re going, and do not focus on electronic devices when walking in public areas.
