NORFOLK, Va (NPD) - Around 8:50 a.m., Norfolk Public School (NPS) staff alerted Norfolk police of a student allegedly in possession of a firearm at Granby High School. NPS immediately placed the school on a precautionary lock-down and the student was detained by police. A search of the student was conducted, and no firearm was recovered.
The lock down has been lifted and Granby High School has resumed normal operations.
Any charges, if appropriate, will be determined based on the outcome of the investigation.
