[ARCHIVED] Pedestrian dies after being hit by a car on Ingleside Road; driver arrested

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A Norfolk woman has died after being struck by a car Friday night on Ingleside Road.

Investigators say that Tashena C. Pulley, 43, was walking in the 900 block of Ingleside Road around 10:00 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle that was traveling Southbound. The vehicle then fled the scene. When first responders arrived, they found Pulley lying in the roadway. She was quickly to taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment; however, she died shortly after arriving.  Walter B. Williams Jr

The driver of the car, Walter B. Williams Jr, 66, was arrested near the scene of the crash. As a result of the investigation, Williams has been charged with felony hit & run, DUI 2nd offense, Refusal of Breath 2nd offense, and Driving after forfeiture of license.

Once the detective division completes their investigation, their findings will be turned over the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office for determination of additional charges.
