NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery of the Shop N Go on Church Street that occurred last Saturday.
The robbery call came in around 3:15 p.m. on November 23, 2019, from the Shop N Go located at 1722 Church Street. When police arrived, the clerk said that the suspect entered the store armed with a gun and demanded money — the suspect left in a waiting vehicle.
There were no injuries reported.
Responding officers located the vehicle nearby and attempted to stop the suspects. The driver refused to stop, and following a short pursuit, officers arrested the two suspects.
Detectives have charged Tirone L. Lunkins, 29, of Hampton with robbery, conspiracy, using a firearm in the commission of a felony, and eluding. He is being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
The second suspect, a 17-year-old, was charged with robbery, conspiracy, and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held in the Norfolk Juvenile Detention Center.
