[ARCHIVED] 4 people injured after a fight broke-out inside Cogan’s Pizza

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are investigating a stabbing that occurred inside Cogan’s Pizza early Thursday morning that left four people injured.

Around 1:35 a.m., police were called to the Cogan’s Pizza located at 1901 Colonial Avenue for a report of a person suffering from stab wounds. When first responders arrived, they found a 34-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported by medics to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life threatening injuries. While on scene, police discovered three additional men were stabbed. All three were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that two men got into a verbal argument which became physical. During the fight, the suspect stabbed the 34-year-old; the other three men were injured while attempting to break-up the fight. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Police have identified a suspect in connection with this incident and are actively searching for him. The suspect identity will be released when appropriate.
