[ARCHIVED] Medical Examiner rules undetermined death a homicide; detectives arrest suspect

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives arrest a man after the Medical Examiner rules an undetermined death as a homicide.

This morning around 7:30, first responders were called to the 6500 block of N Military Highway for a cardiac arrest call. When medics arrived, they located 47-year-old Larry Matruski, of the 6500 block of N Military Highway, unresponsive inside the residence. Matruski was pronounced dead at the scene.

The autopsy conducted by the Medical Examiner determined Matruski died from blunt force trauma.

As a result, detectives charged his brother, 47-year-old Sean Matruski, of the 6500 block of N Military Highway, with second-degree murder.

Detectives have not released the motive or circumstances surrounding this homicide.

Matruski is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond. His booking photo will be available on the jail's website once the booking process is finalized.
