NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A homicide investigation is underway in the Ballentine Place section of Norfolk, after a man was found shot Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly after 2 p.m., police responded to the 2800 block of Harrell Avenue for a gunshot disturbance. When first responders arrived, they located a man outside suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment; however, he died shortly after arrival.
The man’s identity will be released after the family has been notified.
Detectives have not released any motive or suspect information; however, they ask anyone with information to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1 (888) LOCK-U-UP.
