[ARCHIVED] Man charged in overnight homicide in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives have charged a man with murder in connection with an overnight fatal shooting on Hampton Boulevard.

Keith S. Moore, 62, has been charged with one count each of second-degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Moore was taken into custody overnight after police responded to a gunshot disturbance in the 6100 block of Hampton Boulevard. When police arrived, they found 46-year-old Wesley B. Harmon suffering from a gunshot wound. Harmon, of the 6100 block of Hampton Boulevard, was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment; however, he died shortly after arrival.

Moore, of the 6100 block of Hampton Boulevard, was taken into custody at the scene and is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.

Detectives have not released the motive, circumstance, or relationship surrounding this fatal shooting incident.
