[ARCHIVED] Afternoon shooting on Brambleton Avenue leaves one injured

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A man was taken to a local hospital Thursday afternoon in Norfolk following a shooting on Brambleton Avenue.

Around 11:30 am, dispatchers received a gunshot disturbance call in the 500 block E. Brambleton Avenue.  When first responders arrived, they found a 22-year-old man outside suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  He was quickly transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

Detectives have not released any further details, or motive surrounding the shooting; however, they encourage anyone with information to all the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
