[ARCHIVED] Police working undetermined death investigation

At approximately 10:30 this morning, Norfolk Police and Fire-Rescue responded to the 5900 block of E. Virginia Beach Boulevard for reports of a man who may have been electrocuted.

Responding medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The Norfolk Police Detective Division is leading the investigation, and at this time, the incident is being classified as an undetermined death. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.

The man's identity will not be released until his next of kin have been properly notified.

Norfolk police have closed a portion of the Janaf parking lot in the 5900 block of E. Virginia Beach Boulevard for the ongoing preliminary investigation.

At this time, there is no further information available for release.
