Norfolk police responded to the scene of an overturned vehicle shortly before 7:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
The preliminary investigation has revealed a man was driving his vehicle westbound in the 300 block of E. Little Creek Road when he veered off the roadway. The vehicle struck a Dominion Virginia Power pole and overturned.
The driver, and only occupant, escaped with minor injuries and was treated at the scene by medics.
Police have closed the 300 – 400 blocks of E. Little Creek Road in both directions, while Dominion Virginia Power works to repair the downed pole.
The roadway may possibly remain closed for several hours.
Police have cited the driver of the vehicle for reckless driving.
